In November we represented linuxmuster.net at Edunautica Süd in Hanau. In a workshop we showed how schools keep users, devices and Wi-Fi under control with the free school server solution.
What the workshop covered
The focus was on the things that come up every day at school: creating users and classes, managing devices, exam mode, and how linuxmuster.net connects to existing systems such as Moodle or Nextcloud. Using examples from current projects, we showed how it is already in use at different types of schools.
What stuck
Interest was high and the questions were concrete: who looks after it after the rollout? What does it cost the school? How do we get there from our current setup? Some of those conversations have since turned into projects.
